This is my new favourite place!
From Blogger Pictures

Spitalfields City Farm.

My friend Beverley Whispers the White Witch is a volunteer here. Here she is picking some nettles for me to make tea with.
From Blogger Pictures

Nettle tea is great for the skin, intestines and coughs!!!!!!! mmmm...

Also on the farm grows CHARD. If Ma Butcher hadn't murdered mine this is what it should have looked like...

The Bangladeshi ladies that work here were nice enough to give me this whole load of free veg...
From Blogger Pictures

It would only have been £1 if I'd have bought it though. There's Chard, Mustard, Garlic, Kale, White Radish and more! GREAT NEWS!

I also got some FREE POO!!!!!!
From Blogger Pictures

My roses will love it. They said I can have as much free poo as I like!

Go visit it on Buxton Street (not far from Brick Lane)

Ma Butcher

As you probably know, I've been having a few problems with my Swiss Chard so I invited Ma Butcher over in the hope she might be able to assist with my seedlings. Here's what happened.

And here's what happened next....

I shall not be inviting Ma Butcher back to help with any more gardening.

Granny's Garden

Look at my Granny's Garden. How Cute!

From Blogger Pictures

Incidentally, Granny's Garden was the name of the first ever video game I played when I was little. It was great, but you had to avoid this high-definition mega-pixel Witch below.

So I flew to Glasgow this week (to film the Weakest Link). At the airport I thought I'd buy myself a copy of Gardeners World for some light reading whilst I waited, and plus it was giving away some free Tomato seeds. As I was perusing the pages I came across this lovely flower below and thought, 'I'd like that for my garden!'.

From Blogger Pictures

That is until I discovered it was called a 'Stinking Benjamin Erectus'. Frankly I was getting quite fed up with the pornographic innuendo in plant names (what, with having just last week discovered the Cockburnianus plant) and then, as if to rub foxgloves in to the wound, I came across this on page 68....!

The TIGER WOODS Lily!!!!!!!!!!.

I have got a good mind to write to Alan Titchmarsh myself and express my disgust at the horticultural world

Disgusting plant

This is a disgusting plant. FYI it is called a Cockburnianus.

From Blogger Pictures

It SHALL NOT be going in my lovely little garden.

This does not look like great news....

From Blogger Pictures

but once I've planted lovely MINT in the cistern and grown CAMOMILE in the bowl to sit on it will be DEEEEEELIGHTFUL

I am now the proud owner of a wormery from wiggly wigglers!

Oh, I just can't wait to start feeding my new little friends.

My Tarot Card Agent (in between Hyacinths and Horse manure I read Tarot Cards at events) suggested I buy a Hellibore and I love it. The best thing is, it really loves the shade - and I am one shady lady. Plus they come in purple and white, so perfect for my spiritual retreat (very 3rd eye and crown chakra I'm told)

How I love thee little Hellibore

Columbia Road

It was only a matter of time before I mentioned my local flower market Columbia Road.

This is a very nice flower market, but once a man sold me a cherry tree and it turned out to be another kind of crappier tree so I think you need to know your stuff.

Just a mention for now :)

Save the bees please. BEES

Also look, I'm having my bathroom refitted so I'm going to use my old toilet as a camomile seat! And I think I'll put some mint in the cistern for a delightful fragrance as you sit on the toilet. The sink will be a birdbath. Watch this space.

Below are a couple of photos I took of a teeny tiny garden near Spitalfields market. It's right in the heart of the city of London nestled between huge glass buildings that house offices and banks. It is often tended to by my friend Beverley Whispers who is a white witch...

I love herbs, I will ask Beverley to suggest some herbal remedies, potions and spells so you know what to do with the herbs if you decide to plant a medicinal garden.

Nearby are some giant white Rabbits too. It's great!
